They are the best quick service and very professional. Thank you and I will be using your services againPosted on Billy JackTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Awesome people to deal with, brought the dumpster asap and always picked up the day I called when it was full. Also replaced it with another dumpster the same day .Posted on Darryl MihalekTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hasan and his team provided an amazing service at an excellent price point. They are very easy to work with and went the extra mile for this customer. This was my first time renting a dumpster in Charleston. I reached out to other “leaders” in the field but was most impressed by Hasan’s flexibility, availability of inventory and pricing. Others charged for delivery and haul away. With this group, it was one simple price (and also the lowest). I recommend this company and plan to do business again.Posted on Peter MasulloTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My experience with Smart Dumpsters was phenomenal. Their website has most of the information you need such as dumpster size and pricing and there are no hidden fees or other surprises. I called with some specific questions and the gentleman who answered gave me all the information I requested. Delivery of the dumpster was without hassle and removal posed no issues. We rented their largest residential dumpster which was 6 feet tall and held 20 cubic yards. Their large dumpsters have a door the width of the unit making it easy to walk things into the dumpster. Something to be aware of is the shape of the dumpster floor. It’s sort of ‘U’ shaped which wasn’t an issue for us but something we had to factor in based on the shapes of things we were throwing away. Also, it helps if you take advantage of the door and walk things in since you will fit more into the dumpster than if you were to just randomly toss things in. I really can’t say enough about how positive my experience was.
You’ve got a renovation tearing through your house, a cleanout that’s been put off too long, or a construction project that’s generating more debris than you planned for. The last thing you need is a 6-ton dumpster cracking your driveway or some national company telling you they’ll “be there sometime next week.”
Here’s what actually happens when you call Smart Dumpsters. You get a local crew that knows how to navigate Meggett’s narrow streets and residential driveways without tearing up your property. Every roll off dumpster delivery includes driveway protection boards at no extra charge because we’ve seen what happens when companies skip that step on homes worth nearly $2 million.
You call before noon, and in most cases, your dumpster arrives same day or next day. You get the right size the first time because someone who’s done this a few thousand times walks you through it. And when your project wraps up, you’re not waiting around for pickup or dealing with surprise fees that double your quote.
The work gets done. Your property stays intact. You move on.
We operate right here in the North Charleston area, which means we’re not routing your call to another state or guessing where Meggett is on a map. We know the roads, the neighborhoods, and how to handle deliveries in areas where driveways weren’t built for commercial trucks.
Meggett’s housing market isn’t typical. With 96% owner-occupied homes and median property values pushing $1.9 million, you’re not looking for the cheapest option. You’re looking for someone who won’t damage a $50,000 driveway to save $20 on plywood. That’s where local accountability matters.
We’ve worked with homeowners, contractors, and property managers throughout Charleston County. Our Ford F550 is built specifically for residential service, and our team understands that your time and property matter more than checking another delivery off a list.
You call or book online and talk to someone who asks the right questions. What’s the project? How much debris are you dealing with? Where’s the dumpster going? We help you choose between a 10-yard or 20-yard roll off dumpster based on what you’re actually throwing away, not what makes us the most money.
Once you’re booked, we confirm delivery timing. If you call before noon, same-day delivery is usually possible. Otherwise, next-day is standard. We show up with driveway protection boards, place the dumpster exactly where you need it, and make sure you’re clear on what can and can’t go in.
You fill it on your timeline. Standard rentals run 3 or 10 days, but if your project runs long, extensions are available. When you’re done, you call for pickup. We haul it away, handle the disposal properly, and you’re finished. No hidden fees, no surprise charges, no runaround.
That’s the whole process. It’s not complicated, and it shouldn’t be.
Ready to get started?
Every roll off dumpster rental includes delivery, pickup, disposal, and driveway protection. You’re not paying extra for basics. We offer 10-yard and 20-yard dumpsters, which handle most residential renovations, cleanouts, and small construction projects without taking over your entire driveway.
Meggett sits in Charleston County, which means there are regulations around waste disposal and placement. We help you stay compliant, whether that’s guidance on permits for street placement or making sure you’re not tossing materials that require special handling. E-waste and certain recyclables need separate processing, and we’ll walk you through that upfront so you’re not dealing with rejection fees later.
Pricing is straightforward and posted online. You pay for the dumpster size, the rental period, and disposal. If you go over weight limits or need extra days, those costs are clear before you agree to anything. We accept credit cards, debit, and online payments.
The Charleston area is growing fast, and construction waste management matters more now than it did five years ago. You’re not just renting a dumpster. You’re working with a local company that understands how to handle debris responsibly while keeping your project moving.
Most kitchen or bathroom renovations fit comfortably in a 10-yard dumpster. That’s roughly three pickup truck loads, enough for cabinets, countertops, drywall, and flooring from a single room. If you’re gutting multiple rooms or dealing with a whole-house project, a 20-yard dumpster makes more sense.
Here’s the part people miss: it’s not just about volume. It’s about weight. A 10-yard dumpster filled with concrete or dirt hits weight limits fast, even if it looks half empty. A 20-yard filled with lumber and drywall might be under the limit. We ask about your materials upfront because the wrong size costs you either in wasted capacity or overage fees.
If you’re unsure, describe the project and we’ll tell you what actually works. We’d rather get it right the first time than upsell you into something you don’t need or leave you scrambling for a second dumpster mid-project.
If you call before noon, same-day delivery is available in most cases. After noon, you’re looking at next-day delivery as the standard. We’re not routing trucks from two counties over, so turnaround is faster than what you’d get from national companies.
Meggett’s close enough to our service area that scheduling isn’t the issue. The issue is usually placement logistics. If your driveway is tight, if there are low-hanging trees, or if the HOA has rules about where dumpsters can sit, those conversations happen before the truck rolls. We’d rather spend five minutes on the phone getting it right than show up and realize the dumpster won’t fit.
Urgent projects happen. Contractors get behind, weather delays push timelines, and suddenly you need waste removal yesterday. That’s why same-day service matters, and that’s why we keep it available when possible.
Not if it’s delivered correctly. Every dumpster we drop off includes complimentary driveway protection boards underneath. Those boards distribute the weight and prevent the kind of cracking or surface damage that happens when a heavy container sits directly on asphalt or concrete for days.
Meggett properties have high values, and driveways aren’t cheap to replace. We’ve seen what happens when companies skip this step to save time or cut costs. You end up with cracks, divots, or worse, and suddenly a $400 dumpster rental turns into a $3,000 repair bill.
Our Ford F550 is sized for residential streets and driveways. We’re not bringing an oversized truck that tears up your lawn or can’t make the turn into your property. Placement matters, and we take the time to do it right. If there’s any concern about access or potential damage, we talk through it before delivery, not after.
Most construction debris, household junk, furniture, appliances, and yard waste are fine. That includes drywall, lumber, shingles, siding, flooring, cabinets, old furniture, and general cleanout material. If it came out of your house or off your property during a project, it probably goes in the dumpster.
What doesn’t go in: hazardous materials like paint, chemicals, asbestos, tires, and certain electronics. Charleston County has regulations around e-waste and recyclables, and we help you handle those separately. If you’re unsure about a specific item, ask before you toss it. Contaminated loads get rejected at the landfill, and that creates delays and extra fees nobody wants to deal with.
Mixing materials is fine for most projects. You don’t need to separate wood from metal from drywall unless you’re dealing with a massive volume. We handle sorting and disposal on the back end. Just keep hazardous stuff out, and you’re good.
If the dumpster sits on your private property—your driveway, your yard—you typically don’t need a permit. If it needs to go on the street or public right-of-way because your driveway won’t accommodate it, that’s when permits come into play.
Charleston County and local municipalities have different rules depending on where exactly you’re located. Some areas require permits for street placement, some don’t. Some HOAs have restrictions on how long a dumpster can sit visible from the street. We help you figure that out before delivery so you’re not dealing with citations or fines mid-project.
Permit costs and processing times vary, but they’re usually manageable if you plan ahead. The bigger issue is placement logistics. If your property can fit the dumpster without blocking traffic or violating local codes, you’re in the clear. If not, we walk you through the permit process or help you find an alternative placement that works.
Standard rentals are either 3 days or 10 days depending on what you book. That covers most residential projects without rushing you or leaving the dumpster sitting around longer than necessary. If your project runs over, extensions are available. You’re not locked into a rigid timeline that doesn’t match reality.
The 3-day option works for quick cleanouts or small jobs where you’re filling the dumpster in a weekend. The 10-day rental gives you breathing room for larger renovations or projects where debris accumulates over time. Contractors usually go with the longer window because job timelines shift.
If you need extra days, let us know before the scheduled pickup. We’ll adjust the timeline and bill accordingly. There’s no penalty for needing more time—it’s just an extension fee based on how many additional days you need. The goal is to match the rental period to your actual project schedule, not force you into a window that doesn’t work.
